HIVE Information Sheets

The HIVE developed a number of information sheets to assist the Service personnel and family. These information sheets contain relevant information to assist you in moving, settling and enjoying Cyprus. The information sheets are split into 3 sections – Pre-assignment, Initial Arrival and General information. On the left hand menu, select the location you are being assigned, and then select Information sheets. Under pre-assignment, you should find the following information sheets that have been identified as being useful on receipt of your assignment order.

Cost of Living

A question we are always asked in the HIVE is what’s the cost of living like in Cyprus? We are unable to answer this because it depends on so many factors, your lifestyle, culture, family size, eating habits etc. One thing that we are able to provide is a copy of ERMES supermarket brochure for February 2010. ERMES replaced NAAFI (for those of you that remember) and provides a Max store and Express store (late shop) in the majority of Stations. Their brochure should give you a basic indication of what is available in store and comparative costs.
